Crankcase Ventilation

Creating a crankcase ventilation connection on a Weber carburetor is a perpetual problem. Here is my solution. I used a 3/4" PVC plumbing elbow. The end at the air filter has a pipe thread, and to hold it in place, I made a screw, of sorts, out of an adapter. The adapter has one threaded end, which goes into the elbow, and one large, unthreaded end. The "screw" is large enough so that if it falls into the carb, it won't go down the throat. (It's not likely that it will come loose anyway, as it's a really tight fit.) I had to sand down the unthreaded end a bit so that the one-inch tube would fit over it. I also sanded the elbow lightly and painted it black, so it wouldn't look like what it is.
