Weights

I washed the inside of each wheel so there would be a clean surface for the weights. I'm not sure that tire shops are so careful. I located the weights close to the center of the wheel (in a lateral direction), to minimize lateral imbalance errors. After installing the weights, I rechecked the tire's balance; sometimes it needed a little fine tuning in the form of an extra quarter ounce or so. This one needed an extra quarter-ounce weight, which you can see in the top right. Most of the tires, like this one, needed very little weight.
