The alternator is ready for installation. The fan has a number of large holes surrounding the mounting hole, which you can see in earlier pictures. Normally, these are covered by a second, smaller plate, but that cover plate does not fit when the fan is mounted on the alternator. I'm a little concerned about that, because it could affect the fan's efficiency. Still, many people have used this kit, and it must work for them.
